Surprise!

My latest pattern, Social Butterfly, is in the August 2025 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. I designed this quilt on a flight home after visiting my granddaughter when she was only a todder back in 2019. She, now seven, named it her Love Bug quilt. Her nickname is Bug or Bugsie, so I affectionately called it Luvsie Bugsie. The team @allpeoplequilt has titled it Social Butterfly — so, quite a few names for one quilt!

This version is made with all @artgalleryfabrics pure solids. I have quilt kits available on my website. Head to my bio and click the link.

The beautiful quilting, that panto is adorable, was done by my friend Amy @theuncommonbobbin! I have worked with Amy on a few projects now and am overjoyed each time with her quilting.

Lemons! They are such a happy looking fruit!

Do you ever feel overwhelmed or overly anxious? I do and the best way I have found to cope is making something. Stitching up as many variations of the Orchard Delight block as possible has been super fun! So far my favorite is this one!

Orchard Delight will be releasing soon as a mini and table runner so stay tuned!

The badge for @quilt_scouts this month is the Hexie Badge. So I thought it was a good time to finish this bannner.

I used a tutorial from @talesofcloth . It was easy and fun to make. And a great scrap buster. Maybe I will have to make another one that’s scrappy!
