Sneak peek time!
Here’s a little peek at the cover quilt for my next pattern, Prairie Memories, made with Sharon Holland’s beautiful Charming One collection.
When my daughter saw these warm colors and sweet prints, they reminded her of the Little House on the Prairie picture books I read to her when she was a little girl. I loved that connection, and it seemed only fitting to let that sweet memory inspire the name of my newest pattern.
Prairie Memories will be available September 30th, and I can’t wait to share more with you!

So many pieces!
Does anyone else ever lose count when cutting out a quilt?
When there are lots of pieces to cut, I like to count them in twos and stagger them as I go. It makes counting a little easier and helps me keep track of what I’ve already cut. One small trick that can make a big job feel a little more manageable!
Save this tip for the next time you have a mountain of pieces to cut.

These feel like fall!

The life of a quilt block.
From choosing the fabrics and cutting the pieces to stitching them together, making more blocks, and finally sewing everything into a quilt, a quilt block goes through quite a journey before it becomes part of the finished quilt.
So many little steps, and each one is part of the fun!
Which part is your favorite? I think mine might be choosing the fabrics. There’s just something about pulling fabrics together and seeing if they play well together that makes me happy.

Can you ever make too many Orchard Delight blocks?
Apparently not! I had so much fun making these blocks that two quickly turned into nine!
This pattern is so easy to follow and comes together beautifully and quickly. And working with these gorgeous Minimo fabrics from Amy Sinibaldi made the whole process even more joyful.
Now I just have to decide what to do with all nine!
