Pieces are cut and ready to sew!
I’m so excited to get started on my Booked for the Holidays quilt using the gorgeous Christmas in Color fabric collection from @artgalleryfabrics! This pattern is perfect for all the book lovers who dream of curling up under a cozy, holiday-themed quilt with a good book on a chilly winter day.
When it comes to cutting fabric, do you cut everything out before you start sewing, or do you work a little at a time?
I usually cut just enough for a few blocks, then sew as I go. I’m always too excited to see the quilt start coming together to wait until everything is cut!

It’s Christmas in July!
Something merry is coming…

My Patriotic Plaid table runner is finished, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
The soft red, white, blue, and teal palette paired with the sweet floral prints gives it such a gentle, nostalgic feel. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded of slow summer days spent at my grandparents’ house, where simple moments became cherished memories. I can’t wait to use it all summer long.

My Patriotic Plaid blocks are all finished, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
The soft colors and tiny floral prints make such a sweet combination for a subtle patriotic-inspired table runner. My favorite detail, though, is that one of the fabrics belonged to my grandmother, which makes this project feel even more special.
Now it’s time to stitch everything together and turn these treasured fabrics into a piece that will be enjoyed for years to come.

A softer take on patriotic quilting.
While most patriotic quilts lean into bold reds and navy blues, I found myself reaching for sea glass teals, sweet ditsy florals, and softer shades of red and blue for my Patriotic Plaid QAL blocks hoated by American Latchwork and Quilting magazine. @allpeoplequilt
These little star center units are giving me all the vintage summer vibes—think cottage gardens, porch swings, and sunny afternoons with a sewing project in hand.
I’m completely smitten with how they’re turning out and can’t wait to see these blocks become a quilt.
