Quilt in the wild!

Just before the 4th of July holiday my husband returned from Poland where he had been teaching at Warsaw University for the past 5+ months. We headed to @shenandoahnps for a couple days to stay at Skyland and put him to work! Since my Social Butterfly quilt for the August issue of @allpeoplequilt American Patchwork and Quilting magazine was made while he was gone, I didn’t have any full shots of it so…with my #quiltholderhusband @edelweissillustration back we got some pics. It was a beautiful couple days in the park. Saw deer, wild turkeys, a racoon and bunny but no bears this time.

Her nickname is Bug or Bugsie, so I affectionately called it Luvsie Bugsie. The team @allpeoplequilt has titled it Social Butterfly — so, quite a few names for one quilt!

Do you ever feel overwhelmed or overly anxious? I do and the best way I have found to cope is making something. Stitching up as many variations of the Orchard Delight block as possible has been super fun! So far my favorite is this one!

Orchard Delight will be releasing soon as a mini and table runner so stay tuned!
