A softer take on patriotic quilting.

While most patriotic quilts lean into bold reds and navy blues, I found myself reaching for sea glass teals, sweet ditsy florals, and softer shades of red and blue for my Patriotic Plaid QAL blocks hoated by American Latchwork and Quilting magazine. @allpeoplequilt

These little star center units are giving me all the vintage summer vibes—think cottage gardens, porch swings, and sunny afternoons with a sewing project in hand.

I’m completely smitten with how they’re turning out and can’t wait to see these blocks become a quilt.

I’m absolutely loving how these prints and the soft patriotic color palette are coming together. The sweet florals and gentle colors are giving me all the cottagecore vibes, and I can’t wait to see the finished project take shape.
