Welcome to heartlakequilts.com (the “Site”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Heart Lake Quilts (“Heart Lake Quilts,” “we,” “us,” “our”) of Charlottesville, Virginia. By accessing the Site or buying any of our products—PDF quilt patterns, fabric‑kit bundles, or stickers (collectively, “Products”)—you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. You agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information and to safeguard any account credentials.
Digital Products (PDF patterns): Delivered instantly or via secure email link after payment confirmation. Links are personal and may expire or have limited download counts.
Physical Products (fabric kits & stickers): Limited quantities; colors and dye lots may vary slightly.
We may modify or discontinue Products at any time without notice.
All prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes and shipping.
We accept Stripe, Square, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout.
Prices may change until your order is submitted; obvious errors may result in order cancellation with a full refund.
Sales tax is collected only on orders shipped to Virginia addresses. Customers outside Virginia are responsible for any local tax obligations.

You will receive an email confirmation. A binding contract forms when we send that confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order (with a full refund) if fraudulent activity, supply issues, or pricing errors are suspected.
Domestic orders ship via USPS or UPS to the address you provide.
International orders are available by custom quote; you are responsible for duties, VAT, or import fees.
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates. Risk of loss and title transfer to you upon our hand‑off to the carrier.
Your purchase of a PDF pattern grants you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to:
Print and use the pattern for your own projects.
Sell or gift handmade quilts you personally create (small‑scale/home‑based sales only).
You may not redistribute or resell the digital file or printed instructions. Need more extensive rights? Contact us for a license upgrade quote before mass production or factory manufacturing.
Digital Products: All sales are final once the file is downloaded. If you cannot access your file, email us within 7 days for help.
Physical Products: Unused, unwashed fabric kits and unopened sticker packs may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Buyer pays return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of receipt and inspection of the return.
All Site content—patterns, images, text, and trademarks—is owned by or licensed to Heart Lake Quilts and protected by U.S. and international laws. Except as allowed in Section 6, no content may be copied, reproduced, or exploited without prior written consent.
If you share reviews, photos, or other content with us (including on social media):
You grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free license to display and promote that content in connection with Heart Lake Quilts.
You affirm that you have the right to post the content and that it does not infringe any third‑party rights.
The Site and Products are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all implied warranties—including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement—to the fullest extent permitted by law. Always follow safe quilting practices when using tools and equipment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heart Lake Quilts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill). Our total liability for any claim related to a Product or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for that Product.
You agree to indemnify and hold Heart Lake Quilts and its owners, employees, and agents harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site or Products.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration in Charlottesville, VA, under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to pursue class actions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here and, if significant, announced via email. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
