I can’t believe I haven’t used this before! I’ve always loved foundation paper piecing, and I was so surprised to find this adorable little ruler sitting in my craft space—and I hadn’t used it yet!

Right now, I’m working on a Christmas bunting using the Stars and Stripes pattern by @the.weekendquilter. When I cleaned out my sewing space a few weeks ago, I also rediscovered the Add-a-Quarter Plus tool that I received years ago but never got around to trying. I absolutely love it! The tapered edge makes folding back the paper so easy, and the 1/4” lip is perfect for trimming. It’s such a handy tool that I wish I had started using sooner.

I can’t wait to finish the bunting and get it hung up—nothing like adding a little festive charm to my space!

What quilting tools have you put off trying? Give them a go—you might just find a new favorite!

A couple of years ago, I stitched these up using a lovely tutorial by @shesewcurly, and truly—what a joy they were to make. Choosing the layout, the fabrics, and the quilting design for each one felt like creating a tiny love letter for the person it was meant for. And next year, I get to make another… because grandbaby #3 arrives in June!
