My trusty quilting companion—my @janomeamerica Memory Craft 6650—just got an upgrade, and I’m swooning. I’ve had this machine for a couple of years now, but this Christmas my parents (with a little magic from Jamie at @pinkpeonyfabricshop) surprised me with the table extension.

I truly don’t know how I lived without it. Everything feels smoother, easier, and so much more enjoyable—from simple piecing to those long, cozy sewing afternoons. And the best part? I have three quilt tops ready and waiting, so I’ll get plenty of time to break in this new setup.

Here’s to more comfort, quality, and joy at the sewing table.

I can’t believe I haven’t used this before! I’ve always loved foundation paper piecing, and I was so surprised to find this adorable little ruler sitting in my craft space—and I hadn’t used it yet!

Right now, I’m working on a Christmas bunting using the Stars and Stripes pattern by @the.weekendquilter. When I cleaned out my sewing space a few weeks ago, I also rediscovered the Add-a-Quarter Plus tool that I received years ago but never got around to trying. I absolutely love it! The tapered edge makes folding back the paper so easy, and the 1/4” lip is perfect for trimming. It’s such a handy tool that I wish I had started using sooner.

I can’t wait to finish the bunting and get it hung up—nothing like adding a little festive charm to my space!

What quilting tools have you put off trying? Give them a go—you might just find a new favorite!
