Merry Magic by Delia @a_stitch_is_a_stitch is the quilt for you. It has everything you need. A cute Christmas tree, great and easy to follow directions, and large enough for cuddles on the couch watching your favorite holiday movies.

I made this version last year using @artgalleryfabrics Christmas in the City and Christmas in the Cabin collections. I am so excited to get it out and use it again this year.

It’s almost time!

I get so excited as the holidays approach and I can bring out one of my all-time favorite makes to enjoy. This little Santa hat, crafted with fabrics from Little Town by @amysinibaldi for @artgalleryfabrics, was such a joy to make. It turned out even better than I imagined! I used the Spellbound hat pattern by @polkadotchair and added some store-bought faux fur, and it came together so easily.

It’s almost time!

What a stack of scrappy goodness!

I’ve always loved scrappy quilts, and making these little blocks was such a joyful experience. But I have to admit, letting go and just sewing freely can be a challenge for me. Some blocks turn out so good, and others… well, they’re not my favorites (shhh, hopefully they won’t know!). But together, they’re perfect—like a cozy fabric scrapbook. Each print brings back memories of projects, quilts I’ve gifted, and special moments with loved ones. Some prints I’d been holding onto, hoping to use someday, and now they have a special place to be appreciated.

Blocks are done!

I spent most of the weekend sewing my simple, scrappy blocks together — it was so cozy. My husband was at one end of our creative space painting some new pieces, while I worked at the other, stitching away.
All the blocks for my simple, scrappy quilt are done! A productive weekend for us both. Now to get them sewn together!
