Welcome to Heart Lake Quilts a place where cozy cottage quilts have a touch of modern charm.

My name is Kristin, the face behind Heart Lake Quilts.  I am a wife, mother, and grandmother living in Virginia.

Quilts have always been a part of my life.  My grandmother was the first quilter I knew.  She made her quilts by hand from piecing the blocks to quilting to binding.  I made my first quilt, which I still have, using my mom’s sewing machine when my daughter was only 2 years old.  I started designing my own quilts in 2017, a couple of months after my 1st grandchild was born.  

When I am not quilting I love to travel and hike with my husband, read, and spend time with family.
